About Top Quality Goldfish
I first started with Goldfish as many people do with a Goldfish Bowl with two common fish in it sat in the living room at home (I was seven years old!!!), I was encouraged by my parents and soon progressed to keeping some of the more exotic types of Goldfish (Fantails and Celestials), I became more and more intruiged with the fish and decided that I would try to breed them myself. This started a life-long obsession with the wonderful varieties of Goldfish that are available on this site. I regularly show and win at the major shows up and down the country and have made some great friends along the way.

It is my intention through this website to make available the finest English bred Goldfish to the wider general public, these fish exist in real life and are not just images you can see within the pages of a book. Some varieties are more popular than others and some are in danger of dying out. The fish pictured to the right is a calico Pom Pon and to the best of my knowledge I am the only person in the Country who is breeding this particular type of fish. It has taken many years of hard work to get them to breed true to type (they do not appeal to everyone but I personally feel that the hard work has been worth it.)
Fancy Goldfish in the UK
The hobby in the UK is in danger of dying out, with many of the best breeders now in their seventies and eighties, If only one person per month takes up this great hobby then I feel I will have acheived something through this venture along with the older generation of Breeders, long established types of Goldfish are also becoming scarce, due to the mass import of inferior fish from the Far East, these fish, although nice to look at lack the style and grace of their English bred cousins, the long flowing fins of the Veiltail and the short fins and rounded bodies of the Fantail make these fish stand head and shoulders above their Far East cousins the smooth back of the Lionhead along with its shorter tail always brings a smile.
Customer testimonial
As a first time buyer of the Bristol Shubunkin I found the help and service I received excellent,
The quality of the fish stock I ordered, six in all was of a high standard, all rich in colour, fin and tail marking excellent, all in very good health and very active. The over night next day delivery service was perfect and on time as I live in London it was exceptional that all was safe and sound. The Shubunkins are all in my tank now happily swimming, playing and up to all sorts of mischief they are a delight to watch and I am very proud to have purchase them many thanks to all. To all who may read this new comers, new buyers etc,
I can’t recommend them a enough...Keep up the Good Work. Ralph
